If you heard all these albums, you'd know why they're there. Enough said. |
I am not sure how you could say this, and yet not agree with some of the suggestions people have put forth before you said this comment.
For example: Queen: if you just heard their albums, you'd know why they deserve top 50...oh wait, they aren't your thing. So what makes you think the top 50 you picked are our thing?
No Alice Cooper?
I am not sure if you were joking when you said Deep Purple was too heavy yet you have Pearl Jam - Ten and Soundgarden on your list - two bands I've seen live in concert that I promise are MUCH heavier than Deep Purple is. |

In fairness, the topic of "50 best rock albums" is very broad and subjective, so it's highly unlikely that any consensus could be reached. For some people, musical virtuosity may be the main criterion for listing an album "best", while others may value lyrical content or even non-musical factors like cultural/political impact, etc... |

Sorry any list without Pet Sounds is simply not complete, it is without a doubt the greatest American album of the past 50 years, it sets the stage for everything else going forward. Brian Wilson was an absolute genius with this album |

How has this list failed to acknowledge Bob Marley? His music & influence continue huge around the world. |
