|
|
I noticed that F Visa holders are more attractive to those hiring for After-school programs. Many principals are sick of all the red tape and bureaucracy that comes with an E-2 VISA. Very interesting! Maybe us F Fisa types can have them over a barrel! (E.g. More vacation time!) |

I wonder if the principles realize that when they and their staff start mucking over the F visa holders, that they will be SOL, as F visa holders can simply walk away and find a new job? |

I don't necessarily think that this love of hiring F-visa holders is about EFL or having the detailed teaching experience that some F visa holders have. I have plenty of experience but hold an E-2 visa.
It is about bureaucracy and red tape in the end. |

Fair enough. But I myself wouldn't want to work there. You don't get paid until the middle of the following month! That's insane, IMHO! |

What red tape does the employer really have to go though that's a problem?
It's the teacher that has to do all the work. Furthermore, once you get a visa the first time the red tape basically comes to an end. |

Not all F visa holders are, lol. I've heard plenty of stories about some whining to students about "retarded" Koreans and generally acting like savages. By all means, please demand outrageous salaries for 5 hours of work and more vacation time! Then, I'll swoop in once you walk and this lowly E2 visa holder will look like a golden god. |
