Staying in Manhattan to be more particular.

I'm a big history buff so I am doing every museum I can. Definitely Ellis Island.

So what is the biggest tourist trap to be avoided? Times Square?

Check out the Cloisters, northwestern tip of Manhattan. Definitely worth the schlep. And as part of the Met, as cheap of a donation/entrance fee as you want. Thank me later.

Totally agree. Also, admission into the Cloisters gets you into the Met for free on the same day, and vice versa. Only problem is it's a pretty long trip between them.

Times Square is kinda fun. Not much reason to linger unless you're into theme restaurants and fake Elmo, but the lights at night are cool. Theater District and Rockefeller Center are a stone's throw away.

Times Square is too crowded with foreign tourists just doing their selfies.

I prefer to hangout in Greenwich Village.

Try to get a ticket to see Hamilton.

Yep, I will definitely be doing the Met Museums. I've actually slotted a full day and a half for them.

I'll probably just take a quick walk through Times Square to say I did it.

9/11 memorial is kind of morose but I feel compelled to do it.

My favorite part of NYC was the American Museum of Natural History. A bit pricey at $22 but well worth it. I thought the biggest rip-off was the elevator to the top of the Empire State Building. $52 is an awful lot for a ride up an elevator!
