I worked in Korea in 2007 at a language school. About half way through the contract I contracted an illness but my employer didn't provide the health insurance as promised. Consequently, I took a taxi to the airport, took a flight home and got treatment on the NHS. Obviously, I didn't give notice.
Apart from the above incident I enjoyed my time in Korea and am thinking of returning. Will the above incident affect my chances of getting an E2 visa? Should I even mention that I worked in Korea before? I have a new passport now. |

| Don't you have to say if you've worked in Korea before on the visa application form? Why didn't you make sure you had health insurance when you were working here last time? That's just plain stupidness not to check that kind of thing. It would have cost you less surely to pay for a DR in Korea instead of purchasing a flight home wouldn't it? |

Coming from you...the guy with a million stupid questions who arrived roughly two months ago?
O.P. Pay no attention to that poster.
Clarify: Sure, indicate you have been to Korea before when it comes to visa paper work but you don't have to write it on your resume.
As long as you have a clean criminal record and no diseases, you are fine. Don't stress on it. |

Depends on the illness and the treatment. I know someone who paid a 1.4mil a&e bill here because they had no health insurance, and it would have been a lot higher if they'd agreed to be admitted to hospital. |

It's would be better to admit you worked for 6 months in Korea and be honest about the fact you got ill and had to go home than cover it up with lies.

fromtheuk, huh sorry, greyhound has stated he has social issues. He mentioned that Koreans don't make eye contact with him and avoid conversation.
