So I'm wondering if the background check I have is valid for applying to Korean immigration.
It's the NPCC (National Police Chief's Council) ACRO Subject Access one. I'e actually tried asking some recruiters and they seem clueless. They've suggest the Disclosure Scotland one but hoping mine can be used as well.
Cheers. |

Recruiters are usually clueless.
You can use ACRO or Disclosure Scotland.
Recruiters are familiar with D-S since it is easier to get done for those who applied from abroad.
In both cases you need to get an apostille on it.

Just make sure your background check isn't more than 6 months old the day it will arrive with immigration, or it will be rejected.
Disclosure Scotland's basic disclosure is relatively cheap and inexpensive, so if your ACRO doesn't have enough time left on it, you can get one quite quickly. You don't want to waste time and money getting it notarised and apostilled only to have to do the whole thing over again. |
