Nothing major is going to happen. Kim Jung Un knows one thing A full scale or even a fairly medium sized war will end the state. He doesn't have the resources to wage war for too long (without Chinese or Russian intervention and even then) for too long.

As odious as Trump is, he actually may be a plus in this. Kim has relied on a reputation for being crazy to extract concessions, etc. Trump now has that reputation. For the first time, NK will be facing an American president who is just 'stupid' enough to make a military strike against them. And if they respond too severely it will escalate out of control to their detriment.

My guess is before it gets even that far, a war would become null and void because generals internally would form a coup. Picture "Game of Thrones' and the Mad King. One of these Generals will do a 'Jamie Lannister' on Kim.

Clearly, one of the worst things that could happen is that NK attacks the big aircraft carrier (USS Carl Vinson) that is slowly approaching - giving them extra time to prepare a multi-pronged attack - and all-out war breaks out (probably killing millions within a couple days ...) https://uk.news.yahoo.com/japanese-ships-join-u-carrier-drills-nears-korean-040844023.html

I can't imagine NK doing anything of the kind. #45 has one thing that is actually an advantage in this particular matter. He's deemed as nutty to Kim as Kim is to him.

Kim Jung Un risks internal issues in a war. They have never had a war. A war, even a limited one, would bankrupt them the same way the Afghan war did to the USSR.

It would invite a coup as well. He can't win or get a stalemate without chinese backing and that won't happen.

He's all bluster. 45 is itching for military action to take the focus off his laughingstock presidency.

Well, Trump's latest comment that a "major, major" war with NK is possible probably increases the chances that North Korea would launch a suicidal preemptive strike ... http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-exclusive-idUSKBN17U04E

North Korea accelerates its nuclear program as U.S. sends a third aircraft carrier to the region. While Defense Secretary Mattis acknowledges that a war with North Korea would be "catastrophic" and suggests that a diplomatic solution would be far better, I think there appear to be too many scenarios where military escalation and public demand for regime change will spiral out of control, resulting in millions of casualties....

Trump's tweets should make South Koreans (and Japanese, etc.) very nervous - and I don't think the new liberal SK President will deter the U.S. from unilateral military action if diplomatic efforts fail to reign in NK's nuclear threats ... https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/not-worked-trump-tweet-hints-191623140.html

I think they have been nervous long before President Trump's tweets.
