K3 or CR1? Korean wife?
While K3 visas and CR1 visas are both visas for spouses of US citizens, there are differences in the application process and the rights and benefits granted to the two types of visa holders.
Or do you mean F3 for an American wife of an E2 holder?

Sorry, I should have made that clearer. I'm referring to the CR1 visa. |

The K3 is no longer an option. |

Thanks for all of your replies. Sounds like this process is going to be a pain. Do we really need a lawyer? That goes contrary to what my spouse has been reading on Korean blog sites of people who've went through the process already.
No one needs to complain about Korean immigration again. That is a cake walk compared to this, and way cheaper. |

You don't need a lawyer and there are lots of support groups for Americans with foreign spouses trying to get spousal visas.
The process IS long, convoluted and expensive. It typically takes about a year.
