Hi everyone, I'm on an E2 visa and I have a trip to Thailand at the end of the month. On my visa it says "single entry". I've heard two different things, one being that since I have my ARC I don't need to do anything about the single entry status as the ARC takes precedence over what the visa says, and two, that I need to go to the nearest immigration office, fill out a form and get them to change my visa to multiple entry. If anyone knows for sure what needs to be done, if anything please let me know! My school doesn't have a clue lol.

I'm pretty sure you can get a new entry visa at the airport (landside, just before security).

Once you have your ARC (proof of residence) your visa (the thing in your passport) has no meaning. It expired long ago (single entry visas expire 90 days after date of issue).

Your ARC provides multiple entry privileges and has done so since about 2006. If you are concerned you can confirm this with immigration when you get to the airport.
