I'm working in SK now but I will likely return to Canada in March and then back to SK in September.

I will likely work part time while in Canada.

My logic:

no double taxation, I pay taxes while in SK and I will file income tax at the end of the year for only any income earned while in Canada.

Sound correct?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like <183days is the special number these days. Granted, that's with MINIMAL ties. Going there in march and leaving in september IS cutting things CLOSE. First wk of march and september? You SHOULD be okay.

This is assuming you're speaking of the 2018 tax year...

I did similar when leaving in June of '97. Declared non-residency(which actually means nothing, in a way) when leaving, and haven't been bothered by revenue canada ever. Not yet, anyway.
