Hi... Does anyone know where I could buy a lightweight backpacking tent in Korea?
The only Korean website which offers decent options is gmarket, and they are insanely expensive.
Most other sites (e.g in the U.S), don't offer shipping to Korea, but even if they did I'd expect custom taxes to be high...
My budget is any where from $200 - $400... I am looking for a 1 person tent, possibly 2 person, but ideally no more than 1 kilo or 2.3 pounds.
Thanks in advance. |

Gmarket or gearbest have 1-2 person tents in your price range. You can also try Criaigslist. In Seoul, Jongno-5-ga is the place to go for local and imported camping and outdoor brands. Now is not the best time for camping bargains, but you should be able to find something for W220,000. I got a nice 4 season 2-person Montbel tent that is easy to set up. |

eBay. One, two, or three sleepers for 70-80% off. Just do your price homework prior to bidding. Have it sent to your family back home and then bring it in with you next time you visit. |
