So it turns out I was right about everything after all Crying or Very sad . In the pathos of the random flailings of the dying American Empire the good recoil into fantasy and escapism, while the worst rule and continue outrage upon outrage with no end. Collapse is a matter of when and not if. The only question is whether it destroys the world by war on the way down. Too bad about that.

Anyway, looks like this is it for the once mighty Current Events Forum as well. How many hours crouched over my keyboard in my unheated office, furiously googling to back up my points. I could have probably gotten another degree or at least certificate for the all the time, research, and effort put into interminable arguments with other expat English teachers crouched over their keyboards furiously googling on their ends. Now a forgotten little corner of a fading site, only partially archived and so doomed to mostly disappear forever.
