I'm having a hard time understanding my visa.
I'm worried because I will be teaching in Korea & my contract ends on Jan 31 2017...So hopefully I won't have to leave before the 31st. I will be entering in Korea on July 25th 2016.
Issue date: 2016/06/27
Final Entry Date: 2017/01/27
Period of sojourn: 7 months
Entries: Multiple
My visa type is e2-2 (for teaching) that's why I didn't receive a 1 year visa.
So when does my visa expire? Like when does my stay in Korea end? Does it expire 7 months from the "issue date" or my "entry date"?
and I don't know if this information matters but I will be applying for a Arc in Korea . |

you can call immigration from abroad. I did and got through to ask about a matter. I can't remember the number offhand but if you search for it online you should be able to find it. Hopefully someone will be able to help you here too in the morning when they get up. |

IF you do not get your ARC / until you get your ARC you can exit and return as often as you want during the validity period of the visa.
That time expires on Jan 27, 2017.
Your maximum period of stay without an exit or an ARC is 90 days.
After you get your ARC the visa in your passport is meaningless.
Your status of sojourn is governed by your ARC.
The only relevant dates are the ones on your ARC and you have freedom of exit-return until the ARC expires.
The ARC is renewable.
All foreigners who intend to reside in Korea for a period of longer than 90 days are required to get an ARC within 90 days of arrival.
