I just started using Bit Torrent and downloaded a couple of movies. They open in Windows Media Player but all I get is ambience pattern. Is there a simple solution to this? |

You're missing some codecs. The default filter for graphical playback on files without the right codecs on WMP is the "ambience" pattern.
I highly recommend the Kazaa Lite Codec Pack (google it).
Should be good after that.

XVid codecs are also well worth having but, from my personal experience, I'd just download the codecs and avoid the player. Just my opinion based on it freezing Win XP. |
