I have a problem.

I live in a small aprtment with no intention of moving.

I do not have a table or a computer desk.

I have tv unit, 2 drawers high - standard korean height and a matching 2 drawer unit which the laptop is on.

When i sit at the computer, which I do several hours a day, I sit on some cushions on the floor.

But. The position I am forced to sit on when sitting on the cushions and the height at which the computer is on the drawers, I end up getting quite a sore lower back.

Solutions please.

We used to sell stools that were ergonomically designed and orthopaedically beneficial in England, but I have not seen them or anything like it here.

Any help would be appreciated.

I put my computer on a second table I picked up, until I bought a desk, after which my computer died. Now I have to PC room or post at work.

I don't really have room for a second table, plus it sits happily next to the tv and stereo.

It is more the height that is the problem.

Last year I raised my portable table up with some bricks from a local construction site and then sat on the end of the bed. Still a little uncomfortable.

Hello Toby,

I had the same back pains you mentioned as a result of using my computer. My solution was simple.

I just use a couple of pillows and sit on the floor (sometimes I lie down). I put the computer on a book in front of me.
