Okay, here's the deal. My boss is lazy as hell and always waits until the last minute. However, my school is good and I'm willing to extend for another year. So, I'm going to make the trek to Immigration solo. Now, my Korean skills are okay but not great. I need to know what documentation I will need to show the officer. Is it a difficult process? I've been told that it should be pretty easy...that they take your ARC and passport for three days(ostensibly to make the notations). Any help? |

Should be straightforward. Their english should be good enough for you to explain the reason for your visit. The form is pretty simple to fill out. You'll need your passport & ARC card of course, plus your new contract, plus sometimes now they ask for a document confirming you work where you work. Failing that, take your boss's handphone number, they may want to call & check.
Smile & be nice & hand over the cash (30000? I forget). Everything should be done on the spot, just a few minutes. No need to leave anything.
They have separate forms for reentry permits too & its a good chance to deal with that too (single or multiple, 30 or 50k). |
