Just a question ...

But "Really a newbee" and "newbee questions" that could be so easily answered with a few simple minutes of reading the board ...

note "newbee" is in quotes ...

What I mean is how tolerant are you of new people or do you just assume that a new poster is your archenemy in disguise ...

Then again ... why people can't use the search function or stop from making sweepingly obvious first impression statements ... maybe newbee impressions should be a new forum ...

The forum is "pruned" so it is possible that questions that were answered will no longer answered ...

Age vs Wisdom vs Popularity vs Unpopular opinion ...

CYA

I understand how you feel if "newbee" is in quotes.

However, we both know it takes awhile for genuinely new people to learn about posting etiquette, the FAQ section, the seach function, etc.

Also, a new person may ask a simple question to get his/her "feet wet."

We don't want to get to the point where every new person is always referred to the FAQ forum and never welcomed.

I agree, but the locked memebership and the rather agressive witch hunts of late see to make this a more and more closed shop.

How many times haa someone used the phrase "use the search function jackass" been written ...

One "newbee" told me my opinion was worthless because I have fewer posts then they ...

This board is becoming less and less useful and more and more political.

That is my opinion.

It is probably less useful for you because you have expereince, but hopefully it helps the new people and gives others a place to vent and commune.

Sorry, I am confused now. There are over 100 new memebers this month. Do you mean "can't" as in banned? Then those aren't new people.

Werid is it not ...

100 new posters this month with a "hidden" regestration ...

I don't understand it either, BUT, I know a few people who are "oldbees" who cannot get access and have not (to my knowledge) been banned.

I registered over a year ago, and I have no idea how to do it now ...

Obiviously, some do ...

and the next person to disagree with me is obviously "Uri Nara" ...

he said ironically

Personally, I find it rude and offensive when someone responds to a question with, "Go read a book". It's very much akin to the feeling I have when I have a question and call someplace and all I get is a recorded voice listing a bunch of numbers for me to push so I can listen to another canned answer.

Why is it unreasonable for newbies to want to have a conversation with people who are actually alive and present in a dialog?

The only part of newbiedom that irritates me is the instant expert.

Because the people who have been banned keep trying to get back on here and mess up the works for everyone else. Like they've done MANY times before, and will try to do so again.

You know this, so stop talking foolish.

As for the rest of it: Are you angry at the noobs for being noobs, or at the oldies for being oldies, or are you just trying to figure out the source of your disatisfaction? Cause you're all over the place.

Informative Korea-related threads are not "pruned".

The FAQ effort we've been doing is specifically to help "newbies". If they ask a moldy-oldie question, I don't think there's anything wrong with people politely pasting a link to the relevant FAQ forum.
