Hi!
First of all, I love poker!
Sadly house games are illegal in this country...urgh! But this has not stopped some friends and I from having a monthly game. We generally play straight seven card with some restrictions on betting, however, the pots can get pretty good. I have a 500 chip set of professional 11.5 gram clay chips to make the game more professional.
I would rather not say where the game is held. If you are interested in joining us, please send me a message and I will get back to you ASAP.
Do not reply if putting up 200,000 - 300,000 Won is too much for you, or if terms like 'acey, deucy, and one-eyed jacks' is a part of your vocabulary. Our game is held 45 minutes outside of Seoul. There is a bus. We start around 9pm on either a Friday or Saturday and the game usually lasts until 6-8am the next day. BYOB!
I would also be interested in joining other people's games in Seoul (Hold-em, 5-card, or 7-card).
Cheers!
And to make this more of a discussion, why do you think home poker games are illegal in this country? We're not talking about games that are run by an individual who will take a rake! |
