Does anyone else have any other sites to recommend for Bit Torrent?

I've been using suprnova which is good but I'm hoping to get more variety.

I use Overnet/Edonkey. Good for rare files.

For the first time I tried bittorrent today.I had a movie with about 300MB's downloading and then my computer froze-up.When I looked at the file where it was being saved, it was all gone. Not like Kazza where they save the partially downloaded file.

Is this one significant difference between bittorrent and Kazza?

Also, I had about 5 different downloads requested and in half the day, only one, the aforementioned one was downloading.

Is bittorrent really that cracked-up to what everyone says?

Yes, bittorrent is indeed

Whatever happened with your computer locking up and the file being "gone" was a pure fluke. That doesn't normally happen.

It you want solid sources for things, let me know

So, your saying that if I decide to turn my computer off before the file is completed, I could go back to it and resume the download at a later period?

Yes, snufalufagus, send me some solid sources since I'm a novice with bittorrent.By the way, I'm using burst! as my downloading software.

First, I'd recommend getting rid of Burst as BitTorrent client and getting Azureus -----> http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

The files are saved to the disk as they are written or you can have it allocate the space from the outset. I have never lost a file or download in my BT experience and I've downloaded well over 1-2 TB. Yes, you can download it at your convenience (assuming there are resources to download from -- called peers or seeds)
