I'm coming to the ROK in July, but I my apt doesnt' have any AC. How well do the fans cool you off at night, if they don't kill you?

FAN DEATH.

I could manage if I kept windows shut, the fan directly on me, and dressed very lightly. July has some brutal weather here.

just had mine installed yesterday... a few weeks after they said they would install it but doesn't matter anymore.

I don't need AC or a fan. I'm on an upper floor near the base of a big mountain. Always a nice breeze whippin' through the place.

AC is really bad for the environment.

I don't usually use AC, though I do want to figure out how to use the dehumidify setting..

turned ours on today for the first time. glad we got it back in april since it was easy to get and get installed.

I don't know how we did 4 summers without one.

Yeah its expensive (you can get a used one for 500-600K + installation) but man is it worth it

I grew up in Africa where a cool summer's day was around 40 degress (Celsius for you metric challenged Americans).

Heat doesn't bother me anymore.
