I don't mind the heat and humidity.
Beats the frigging freezing winter anyway.

A fan does the job and in the day time i sit around in my shorts so all my neighbours can see my sexy body. Wink

I had no ac in my apartment last summer. I kept my windows open all summer and turned the fan on and I was fine.

I was up in the mountains a bit though, I don't think it got quite as hot as some places do. I think it probably depends on where you're going to be living, and whether your apartment windows face south and your room has the sun shining in heating it up all day long. The only thing worse is an east facing apartment, then you get it coming in and waking you up at five am.

I don't have one now, but I intend to buy one.

I'll wake up in a puddle of sweat every day in July if I don't have one.

"They" are predicting the hottest summer in 10 years. It might be true because it's been unusually hot before the rainy season.

If your apartment has a good cross-breeze you can probably do without an a/c. If your place is like many apts where all the windows are on one side, you will be in for a nasty summer. Lots of mold on clothes and books etc.

Be warned.
