My e-2 is set to expire beginning of july. I'm staying on at my school for a second year and I asked my director about the time-frame of getting the paper work sorted. She said it's really easy, and doesn't take time, but I've seen organisation here, and I'd like to know for myself. How long does it take to process? |

All it takes is a quick run from someone at your school to go to Immigration. You won't have to go yourself. They'll need your passport, your Alien ID, and a new, signed contract.
They'll get everything back from Immigration on the same day and the only thing that will be different, is they write the new expiry date on the back on the Alien ID with a black marker.

If you want a multiple re-entry visa, though, you'll have to pay for a new one as well. That does get stamped in your passport. |

Absolutely correct. I tagged along with my boss yesterday to Ujeungboo Immigration to do it. It took all of about five minutes. |
