If there is an existing thread that someone can direct me to that would be appreciated, but in the meantime I do not have a multiple exit visa or whatever the term for it is and I am headed to Phuket in August. Do I need to go to immigration first and do this or as has been suggested can I just do it at the airport on the day of departure? I only need the single entry/exit as my current E-2 will expire before I need to leave Korea again.

Also, I have been told that it takes up only a quarter of a passport page. Is this still accurate as I do not have any fully free pages left in my passport.

Thanks for any info.

You have time to get new pages. I sent my passport in to the US embassy and had it back 2 days later with 26 new pages. It's free. Just fill out the basic form on the embassy website. It's easy to find. Then just send it with you passport express mail registered and include an express mail registered return (they won't return your passport in the regular mail). Then send your passport to the korean embassy for the multiple entry. Download the form off their website. Better yet, just go in person. I certainly wouldn't risk trying to get it the day you're leaving. You never know if they will do it.

Thanks Shawner, only problem is as a Canadian I can't get extra pages. I guess it's more of a cash grab to make me get a new passport.

I had no idea...man, that stinks. I ran out of pages quickly in my passport.

Not that it helps much now, but there is a 48 page Canadian passport (or at least there was a couple of years ago.) Twenty-four pages just isn't enough for five years.

You can get a stamp at Incheon from immigration. It costs about 30,000 won, single entry visa. Takes 10 minutes. Smile

If you have only one stamp on a page, immigration MIGHT stamp over it. Happened to me the last time I got my visa renewed. The guy didn't want to bother looking for a free page!
