@ skywalker26...yeah, that's about the fastest you will get I guess.

ADSL signals can't pass through the conversion from analog to digital to analog that occurs if a portion of your telephone circuit comes through fiber-optic cables. VDSL's performance comes at a price: It can only operate over the copper line for a short distance, about 4,000 feet (1,200 m).

The key to VDSL is that the telephone companies are replacing many of their main feeds with fiber-optic cable. In fact, many phone companies are planning Fiber to the Curb (FTTC), which means that they will replace all existing copper lines right up to the point where your phone line branches off at your house. At the least, most companies expect to implement Fiber to the Neighborhood (FTTN). Instead of installing fiber-optic cable along each street, FTTN has fiber going to the main junction box for a particular neighborhood so the distance limitation is overcome.

Be happy with ADSL, move, or shell out the bucks for the line. Wink

@ marista99 : I pay 40,000 per month for VDSL, MegaPass premium. Sorry for ignoring your previous post...I didn't have the bill in front of me and the wife usually pays them quickly.

Just a tip

If you are considering Thrunet because they offer English service, don't bother. Their English is hopeless and they only offer English support during effective office hours. Of course, net connections go down outside these hours.

thrunet used to good. KT bites the big one.
I have thrunet's cheap service for 34,000 a month. Hogwon set it up.
Thrunet has problems accessing yahoo for days on end at least once every 6 weeks. Apparently yahoo and thrunet are fighting about spam. I read it on this board so search for more don't ask me.

And what the saint said.
