| Heres another negative and positive post, but what are some things that annoy you about Korea and are cool about Korea, I mean little things people! For me, here are a few things Im tired of seeing, 1) those damn blue utility trucks, every freaking one has one! 2) the same shirts over and over, like the one thats red and says"be the reds" wtf does that mean, some sort of cry to north korea to bring in communism, every kids got one it seems like. 3) the fact that the commercials repeat, I mean same commercial right after another. Okay some cool things! 4) The positive nature of koreans in general, I know not a small thing, but its cool none the less. 5) Pretty girls, a given 6) cheap ass meals! |

| Those "Be the Reds" shirts have been out of style since the World Cup in 2002. THAT is when they wore them all over the freaking place. I doubt we'll see a repeat since Korea's team won't be as lucky in Germany in 2006. "Cheap ass meals"...I don't find food cheap here. Unless you consider the unsanitary po-jang-macha's as "cheap eats". Watch out for the flies or ddung pari's.......... |

I love the commercials. Some of them are so bizarre. Like the foot fungus infomercial where they play the Star Wars soundtrack in the back. And my all time favourite, the Loo Loo bidet commercials.

Good thing you did your research on recent Korean history and culture before you came. Next you're going to ask "what is this kimchi stuff everyone is talking about?"
"Hey, I could ask a student to explain his t-shirt and create discussion in my classroom and some needed English practice or I could run to Dave's..."

That loo loo bidet comercial is pretty funny and disturbing on a couple of levels. |

I don't know about you, but this post by mindmetoo sucks. Completely uncalled for.
I gotta wonder about the blue utility trucks too. They don't really look like they could haul that much weight. Even stranger are the little white vans that look like eggs and ride on donuts for wheels.
And yeah, I was wondering about the "Be the Reds" shirts that I've seen... maybe this was because I wasn't in Korea during the World Cup and didn't think to research the types of shirts people would wear here in my preparation for coming to Korea (Ryan, you moron! How could you not research the shirts!) |
