Ive recently bought a new Nikon Coolpix 3200 camera from Yongsan Technomart - but since bringing it home (Pohang) and using it i have started having problems.

First and foremost the software that came with it, that i am supposed to download onto my PC so that i can transfer the photos onto my hardrive - doesnt seem to work...well, its all in Japanese - so i cant understand it anyways - and my random pressing of buttons hasnt worked up to now.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem - and how have u rectified it?...is it possible to pick up an English language version of these CD's? (ive tried looking on the Nikon support webpages - but no luck, it does say there that u should have the option to 'choose'language' on the CD - but i certainly cannot find that anywhere).

Now, even if i was able to download my photo's the camera itself also seems to be playing up - as whenever i use it, i often get the message 'Warning - This Card Cannot Be Read' - so any ideas on this one too?

The memory card that i have is a Scandisk 128k - and i saw the guy take it out of its original packaging when he was putting it all togther for me - so i dont doubt its authenticity.

Finally, when i scroll through the 40 odd photo's i have taken already - the camera 'freezes' on picture number 1.

All in all - im pretty dissapointed with this purchase, and will try and take it back next time i am in Seoul - how easy is this, has anyone had any trouble trying to obtain refunds or exchanges for apparently faulty goods?

Heres hoping that somene can help with any or all of my problems/questions listed above!

Thanks.

IIRC, I had the same problem with the software and ended up downloading the English version of Nikon View from Nikon's website.

For all the hyped talk about Yongsan's "great" prices, remember that they often sell grey-market and illegally imported goods.

If you had the legal Korean camera, you would have probably gotten a Korean version with Korean box.

Both Yongsan Electronics market and Technomart at Gangbyeon will pull a fast one on you if you don't know what you are buying.

By the way, you probably don't get a warranty with that illegal import either.

Sorry.

You can probably download a manual online though.

Take the thing back, if you can.
