HELLO ALL!

I'm wondering if my penny-pinching Korean-boss is ripping me off....

How much do you get paid and how many classes do you teach?

Right now I'm...

1.9 million : 32 classes...they are 45 min.

What's the average over here?

Most hagwon gigs I've seen were for around 2.0 and 30 fifty minute classes a week. Then again, that was at schools for adults and schools for kids pay a bit better.

1.9 million, 36 classes at 40 minutes each per week. But 14 of those classes are 'special' classes which means I just play games, listen to music, or do arts and crafts.

Also, I teach kindy and primary.

Right now, I teach 27 x 50 minutes. (Actually, at the moment, with middle school exam time coming up, the students aren't coming to the hogwan, so I've been teaching 17 x 50 minutes. Still have to be at the hogwan during class time though.)

My first job, I think the most I ever taught was 36 x 40 minutes, for 1.8 million.

I teach 26 classes a week from Kindergarden(1 class), Elementary School(8 classes), Middle School(9 classes) and the rest are adults.

The times are 45 minutes per class.

All for 1.8 a month. Well it is my first year after all!!

I make an even 2.0 million.

19 forty-five minute classes with the kids.

3 forty-five minute classes with the teachers.

So, I guess the answer is 22 classes in one week.

Giddy up.

2.5 mill for thirty 40-minute classes a week, plus half-day kindergarten.

Long hours, but great school, good kids, and a nice benefit package on top of the base salary.

2 45 minute classes
38 30 minute classes
8 25 minute classes
14 20 minute classes
6 15 minute classes

First hagwon. 10 x 70 minutes, 15 x 50 minutes, 36 x 40 minutes - made out like a bandit on overtime. I was making so much more money then.

Now, one on one internet teaching. Maximum of 85 x 20 minutes. My schedule is not full though. It's closer to 50.

What a coincidence. I've got 13 teaching days left. Not that I'm counting or anything. Laughing Laughing

Twenty-nine class days left. Does it go faster or slower once you get down to twenty?
