I've just done a quick search and currently Korea has 14 functioning plants with two more due to come online in the next year and KEPCO are looking to complete 8 more by 2015. Currently they provide 40% of the nations power. Locations are not provided. |
Is this 14 reactors or 14 sites? Dogbert's information is showing 4 sites. I believe a nuclear plant refers to a site rather than a reactor and a nuclear plant may have multiple reactors. Near Toronto, for example, Darlington Nuclear Generating Station has 4 reactors. I grew up down the road. We always called the station "the plant". |

The good news is that they are Cando reactors. The bad news is what you have already said. Let's just hope the don't employ those who were fired from the Taegu subway company. |

The reactor at Gori near Ulsan has a lot of boxes for sea weed and what have you in the water near the plant. Fishing is also good there, because the water is always warm.
Have also heard that France is the only other country that supplies as much energy through it's nuclear power program as does Korea. |

Yes, great link but I count 4 sites and 18 (or 19 - one was to open in June) operational reactors with a 20th due to start next year. |

| Does anyone know where I can get detailed maps and security guard shift-change schedules for the above sites? |
