Hmmm as I was doing my Fluride treatment recently sent from home I wondered. What's the deal with Koreans and Fluoride? Is it true that even the dentist don't use it. Are they for some reason frightened by it? I mean WTF? |

Fluoride is carcinogenic and many municipalities in Canada, including my hometown of Kamloops, had to remove it from the water because of citizen-initiated lawsuits based on scientific research showing the harmful effects of fluoridation.
In fact, the fluoride in many cities are provided by manufacturing companies who use that as an alternative method of waste disposal, as fluoride is an industrial byproduct, and they make a tidy profit on it as well. I covered one such lawsuit when I was a newspaper reporter and I had researched several others.
Fluoride is bad for you.
Dentists have argued that the risk from small quantities in toothpaste is smaller than the benefit to dental health.
But then again, dentists say the most important aspect of dental care is flossing, not brushing. Brushing isn't very effective where it matters most, between the teeth, and it makes teeth yellow by removing the enamel.
Floss and chew gum after every meal and you'll be just fine.
I am. |

They don't have flouride in the water here.
I have been here over 2 years now, and am on my way to a dentist appointment to finish a root canal. Also, I have to replace 5 old fillings that have begun to decay around the edges since I got here.
I brushed as often or more since I've been here. I've even flossed more.
If you stay a long time, you might have high dental bills. I do. |

I am not placing the argument of whether fluoride is good for you or not, I am just wondering what is the korean's take on it. I can definately say that there toothpaste isn't beneficial to your dental health, also on my way for a root canal (my girfriend has had two already).
Just why don't they use it, did they use it before? Looking at the kids teeth in my classes it seems they would benefit from it. No where in the world (even england) have I seen kids with such narely chompers. |

Koreans often filter their water, or drink bottled anyway. Not sure if the filters here would take fluoride out.
You can get along quite fine without using toothpaste, just brushing.
Toothpaste is nice though. You can buy natural toothpaste with or without fluoride.

Proper brushing technique is far more important than fluoride. Besides, according to what I've read, fluoride is only beneficial to developing teeth. |

I may be mysrerious and running a LAETRIL !!! Clinic in Tiajuana, but...
Flouride works. You can get flouride treatments using "mysterious laser rays" at Chicago Dental Clinic. It is on Itaewan Dong just before the bridge at Hangnam. Almost next door to KFC on same side of the street.
Tell them Mysteriousdeltarays sent you and they will give you extra lead shielding.
FLOURIDE !!!! EEEH! |

Aquafresh has been around for years. They just changed the packaging (there was a picture of a smiling Korean couple on the old one). |
