You raise a good point. This is Korea. They might cut off your water for a day. I had a friend and they did that to her apartment. The smartest thing you can do here is fill up several jugs of water when you get the chance (2 l coke jugs, whatever is handy). Keep them stored some place. Because if you lose water for a day or two, well, what fun, especially if you have no Korean language ability. |

Hot water is for the weak.
Boil a bunch of water and pour it into your bathroom sink. It helps if you've got a big electric kettle that's boil the water in two or three minutes, because it's fast, and you don't have to keep making trips to the kitchen. Add cold water until you have appropriate shower temperature.
Get a big cup. Pour the water over yourself. Repeat as many times as necessary. |

| I think the best solution for having your water cut off, is to find a cute girl that'll let you shower at her place... |

| naw, PVC pipe and not regular pipes. No shower head, either. Shower is a cabina and not fully enlosed, thus (being at nine degrees latitude) mosquitos are quite happy living in a place near water. Add this to no hot water and then we're talking. |

I think what the OP was trying to say is why is it going to take two weeks to put in a new hot water system. Seriously, why does it take so long? When I was running a school, we had the same thing with one of our teachers, two weeks no hot water. There was nothing that could be done about it, but for my own curiousity, I asked the teacher to keep an eye out for construction. No workers to be seen for the first week of the water being off.
Has anyone ever heard of the hotwater being turned off for two weeks back home due to upgrades/replacement?[/b] |
