I've got an old laptop that needs some internal hardware work.
Anyone know of a reliable place in Yongsan?
Thanks.

I guess you should take it to wherever they do A/S on that make of computer. If it's a toshiba, then take it to a Toshiba A/S center.
I don't know specifically where they are, but a look at the manufacturers website may give global service locations.
Or take it to Yongsan and let them tell you where to take it.
Sorry....not really an answer....you probably knew all of this already.
Good luck! |

In Itaewon, behimd the hamilton Hotel, is a place "Jonny Comptor". The speaks very good English, and he is a nice guy. He can fix your laptop. |

Thanks.
As a matter of fact it is a Toshiba. Just not under warranty, so I thought I might save some money by taking it to someplace other than Toshiba.
Anyway, I will check out those places.

It may be hard for you to find some one that speaks English. This is why I said go to Jonny.
You can go to Jonny Computor and he will give you a price cut. He is honest. |

Yes, honesty and charging 130,000 Won to install Windows 98 go hand in hand! |

I like to look in Johnny Computer when I'm bored. True, he's a nice guy and has to make money, but I don't ever buy stuff there.
The price penalty for him buying stuff in Yongsan and moving it 3 subway stops to his store is about 50% more. |

Sorry, I did not mean "price cut" I meant "price quote". The thing I like about him is that he speaks good english, and it is hard to go other places unless you take a Korean friend.
And wow, all that money to install Windows....u could have bought the disk and installed it yourself for half the price. |
