Ever consider that there might have been an undertow that they couldn't tell you about? Besides since when did job skills matter when considering eye candy?

I don't know about the seas around Chejudo, but I had the exact same experience with lifeguards on Deokjeokdo in the Yellow Sea. The water there had zero waves except for the occasional wake from a passing boat, and I was in water that was below my shoulders, and the lifeguards were whistling and carrying on like I was in the middle of a shark feeding frenzy.

I don't know if the lifeguards knew how to swim or not, but they were definitely assuming that no one else could.

A part-time Korean lifegaurd drowned of the East coast on monday when he was trying to rescue a boy.
Apparently he couldn't swim too well.

I'll give them credit for keeping in good shape, BUT, please, they gotta do something about those speedos. Shocked

Not only do they wear speedos, which is bad enough, it looks like they all shop in the little boys section.

And I do love the fact that they are all too timid/scared to ask the big waygookin to put on a swimming cap

Now, the women going to the pools ... very nice. They are definitley something to drool over. Although, I have heard that some "working gals" go to the pools to try to find a customer or two.

No, no, this thread is not the place for that. You have plenty of other places on this website for your ruminations. Run along now.

I find that most koreans swimming ability to be lacking. Most can't swim worth a darn. Don't get me wrong some can. Ask your students if they can swim and most will say no.
Could be the lifeguards just assume that most people can't swim.

At the Busan beach blast Crois and I hoped in the water sometime after 5:30 and the life guard started blasting his whistle and signalling us to get out of the water. Apparently its unsafe to swim there from 5:30 onwards Rolling Eyes

Just spent the last couple days at Jinha and people were still swimming there at 7:00.
Why the difference? I don't know.

few men can look good in a spedo. it's more difficult for men to wear than it is for a women to wear a bikini, in my opinion....but these lifeguards were more than successful.

hey, who said they had a lifeguard friend? get his picture up here....in uniform, preferably.
