I am currently looking into getting a USB portable hard drive to store my pics on and went into Kumho world to check out prices. However there they kept trying to sell me some photo storage which is really expensive and I am not interested in spending to much.
Would a USB portable hard drive do the trick for my pics? Also what would be the best one to get??? I have no idea about this kind of thing so any advice would be great!! thanks

Portable drives are the cat's ass.

Plenty out there and you could probably pick up a cheap case for 30,000 to 40,000. The hard drive'll set you back about 1,000 per gig so, for example, if you get a 40 gig drive you'll be paying around 70,000 won.

They're suitable for storing photos, movies, programs -- anything.

All you're actually doing is buyiung a normal computer ATA or SATA harddrive and sticking it inside of an external enclosure. Just find the harddrive capacity and speed that you want and then find a usb2.0 "case", as they call them in Korea, and off you go!

If you do it the way described above, you can get a harddrive with up to 160gb for under 200,000 won and if you want lower capacities, even less than 100,000 if you do your comparative shopping right.

If you want something that is usb2.0 and very portable, do a search for anypak external harddrives. They are ultra-small and portable, usb2.0 high speed compliant, and come in 40, 60, and 80 gb capacities. I have one and I love it. It also uses usb power which is a bonus if you don't like power cords. There are other drives by other makers if you are interested in a different option from ATA drives.
