(Longer than I expected )
I just purchased an American xbox from a friend. I was looking to get a mod chip installed in the Changwon area (near Busan). There have been a good number of posts from up in Seoul, but that's a bit much. I'd be much more interested in info for one of these:
1) Changwon
2) Masan
3) Chinhae
or
4) Busan
I seem to remember hearing a number of people talking about buying the xbox with mod chip as a package or xbox with upgraded HDD as a package.
I have my own DVD burner, so is there any big reason to get an upgraded HDD?
What can I expect to pay for the chip only (i would guess it would depend on the chip in question, but I would also guess there isn't a huge difference in price)?
Finally, a last xbox question... I'm going home for a short vacation in a couple of months. I was going to pick up the "xbox live" starter kit (hopefully a new hockey game too , my buddy had 3 NFL games but not a single NHL title). Anyone with info on what to expect in setting this up? I have my internet connection at home, have a bunch of cable... a router to split the internet access is easily available if needed.
Thanks for any input.

i bought the mod chip with the x-box. cost me 50,000. came with a bunch of games, dvd, as well as other stuff i haven't had a chance to use yet. i would bring someone who can speak korean if you can not. otherwise, i think it would be a huge pain in the arse... |
