what would Jawoldo be like over Chuseok? would it be crowded, and/or too cold by then for the beach?

how much does the ferry there cost? where should I stay? would it be fun to go by oneself, and if not does anyone want to come along? Very Happy

I imagine it would be fine altough I really have no notion about the crowds. It certainly wasn't crowded the weekend I went there in the middle of the summer with ideal weather so I think you'd be fine.

The ferry cost somewhere in the vicinity of 12,000 won. make sure you get off at the first stop (40 minutes) because it continues on to another island.

As Sondureo mentioned get a minbak with bicycles included. the place that rented them near my minbak wanted 2000 an hour.

I went to Baengnyeondo last weekend. I had a good time. Interesting with the military presence throughout most of the island. I walked everywhere (but got picked up a couple of times when I was carrying my pack). Try to take a bicycle or scooter if you can. I certainly didn't get everywhere I wanted to go.

The Incheon Islands are the ones I've yet to get to, having crisscrossed the southernmost coastal islands over the last four years.

I went to Oido...
The island is nothing special, but you can rent these things called 'Pensions' whichc are huge houses in a western-style neighborhood...really weird actually, but good fun if you have a lot of buddies interested in going!!!
You can sleep 10 ON THE BEDS!!!
Literally the one i stayed at, you could sleep 25 people in this house (with mats on the floor of course) but it had two bbq's, huge porch, wicked kitchen, huge t.v.....one even had a swimming pool!
350,000-400,000 for a night, not bad if you get the 20 people!!

I was reading over all of this, but wondering if things are still about the same 3 years later (??)

Could anyone give me an idea for a nice day trip? Went over to the airport island this past wknd, but those beaches were pretty lame and the food was mad expensive. I NEED to get on a beach on Thursday before I go insane, that's about all I know right now.

As long as I can chill out, throw a football, and drink beers all day in the sun, I'll be a happy girl Smile

ps: I live on the east side of Incheon, so I'm looking for suggestions around the Incheon area... thanks!
