Anyone out there looking to play some street hockey on Sunday afternoons? We have an ever-changing group of about 12-15 guys that play on Sunday afternoons at Ajou University in Suwon. This is good, old-fashioned street hockey - no roller blades - just shoes, a ball and a stick. All you need to get started is a stick, but if you just wanna come and give it a try, we've got a few extra sticks kickin' around.

We try to find teams from other cities in Korea to play against once or twice a season. If you play hockey elsewhere in Korea and would be interested in arranging a game between your team and ours, send me a PM and we'll try to work it out.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, send me a PM. We're looking to start up on Sept. 5th, maybe the 12th.

Dongdaemun Stadium has some shops, and there are two stores called Jim Paek Hockey. I only know that one is in Yangjae-dong. Prices are steep everywhere, though.

There are 2 stores around the mokdong ice rink, which is near omokyo station on line number 5. If you walk passed the front of the Hyundai Dept store keep walking passed the KB bank and cross the street. It takes about 4-5 minutes on foot. The Jim Paek store is on the first floor and in the same building on B1(basement first floor) there is another hockey store called Hockey Giant with more selection and better prices.

If anyone is interested in playing ice hockey check out:

Sticks start at W40,000. At least at Dongdaemun, maybe Jim Paek was cheaper. I thought his total package price of W5-700,000 was not too bad.

How much did your first set of yard sale equipment cost as a kid. I bet my mom must have spent at least 60 bucks on it.

Yep, hockey info here, just post, PM, or email me. ([email protected])

We're playing in Mokdong Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. We're down in BUndang on Monday nights. If you want to join in either Mokdong or Bundang let me know.

There is a team in Anyang (www.glaciershockey.com) and one in Incheon (www.hockeynightinkorea.com).
