I had a job offer at a local Elementary school in Seoul. 2.2 million 9- 4 pm and teaching 6 classes with no curriculum in place. Up to 16 kids per class and would have to write a comment for every student every 1.5 months. I have my B ED and have taught in Canada but SERIOUSLY!
There must be some better than this- I was making 2.4 at my Hagwon with set curriculum and max 12 kids
This is why the jobs aren't getting snapped up. |

Exactly: the whole having to make your own curriculum thing can be exhausting...a lot of hagwons seem to have a better deal than public schools in certain respects. |

I'm considering the change..but according to their qualification requirements, my BA, 2 yrs exp, and TEFL cert would only put me on a 2mill. salary.
I can get more at a hagwon- with fewer students. |

Anyone know if EPIK placed it's quota or is still hiring?
Or are recruiters the way to go at this point? |
