I am an Australian lodging my Tax Return form online. I got to a point where I have to verify myself over the internet, which includes puting in the date from my past assesment notice.
It didn't work and I kept getting an error message that said ' "is an invalid date '
I rang the dude at the ATO and he said to change the settings of the computer so it thinks that it is in Australia. He said something about making the date to read dd:mm:yyyy. I double clicked on the time and changed the time zone settings to Melbourne and reset the computer. This doesn't seem to have worked.
Is there more that I need to do to complete the process of making my computer think it is Australian.
And before anyone says: I have already typed "throw another shrimp on the barbie" and it didn't work....... Thanks anyway. |

Go to control panel>Regional and Language Options>Regional options and change your 'location' and 'standards and formats' fields to Australia. |
