When I try to burn copies of movies I am foiled by some error message saying the movie is copyrighted. How can I get around this?? I have a fairly new model samsung internal burner. Thanks a lot for any help

Ok, quit lickin' your boob and listen up...

(sorry, had to say that to your avatar)...

What burning software are you using? You have to use DVD Shrink or something similar to compress it and remove that copy stuff before burning.

how does compressing it first get rid of the copyright protection?

Well, the program has an option that, if you tell it what "zone" the DVD is, it will remove the copy protection.

The process of compressing and burning the DVD is not fast. Maybe takes 1 hour at least... sometimes more. I found it works best if you don't use your computer during the burning phase.

There are so many apps out there that do this...

CloneDVD come to mind. I use it and it works well. It will "shrink" it if needed as well.
