I'm looking for a recruiter or agency or someone who hooks up teachers with students for tutoring or jobs teaching adults (e.g. company workers or university students). Could anyone recommend some companies like this? Thanks.

I'm looking for the same myself. Don't want to teach kids only adults and university students (eventhough some unis are styled like hagwon which mostly includes kids). My visa finishes at the end of feburary. Anybody got any ideas?

Hmmm.... A lot of people with the same question. But no one has any answers. Looks like I'm going to have to change my approach: I'll offer a FREE BEER to anyone who can give me a solid avenue to a decent gig teaching adults. How about that?

P.S.: I'll throw in some SPAM too.

Information that you seek is not often public domain. Too much potential heat. A teacher can up and move in the middle of the night, if they feel the heat around the corner(to modify and use a quote from the movie, Heat. Smile )A recruiter with a physical, established presence cannot.

And good leads like that are kept within tight circles of friends. I knew a recruiter into that, plus E2 gigs. But only his inner circle of teacher friends would be privy to it.

And if you do get connected with someone like that, you don't freely pass that info out to anonymous types on the net. If the operation folds, because of your generous referrals to other teachers, you just shot yourself in the foot.

It's not like Japan, where it's legal, and there are private recruiting outfits on the net.

The best recruiters are your Korean friends. Find and establish some well-placed friends. People that you can teach exactly how the biz works and the risks involved. Get them networking for you. You'd be amazed at how well a discreet well-placed connection can yield results, especially if they have entrepeneurial spirit and you give them a slice of your pie, as long as they are pulling in and setting up good groups that you are charging 80-100,000/hr+.

check out the competitors website!

Can I post the name here? It's English Spectrum.

You'll notice posts for part-time positions on there all the time, often by the same people/company. There's a lead for you.

I hooked up my gigs through contacts though. (And I'm keeping em' under wraps)

Good luck!
