After 2 incredibly long years, I'm finally going back home. Unfortunately, my last day in Korea is very overcast and probably will rain quite a bit.

Several chores I need to do:
1. transfer money from korean bank to US account
2. cancel my cellphone
3. pick up my SLR camera which i put off fixing until my last week --;

and a bunch of other stuff.

That aside, i wanted to thank everyone here, because i know that sounds cheesy but this board has been very theraputic (sp?) for me in airing gripes, but also helped in reminding me of all the things I do enjoy about korea and the things I was able to accomplish here.

I wanted to meet all of you but every time there was a get together it seemed like something always came up Sad

anyway, so thank you all. and i will probably keep posting here, but i thought this day had some special personal meaning *^^*

Regards,
Daniel Jin

Your post reminded me that I need to start shipping things home and getting ready to do all of that stuff myself. I hope you'll have a great trip home and a great last day--even though it's overcast.

I'm heading home in about 2 months myself and have really mixed feelings about it--but mostly am looking forward to getting back. I hope that there will be another meeting in Seoul before I leave so I can meet people on the board as well.

Take care Dan!

Oh, Dan, if you're going to be running errands anyway, could you drop by the store and pick me up some cheesy Pringles and a box of OB (lager, not tampons)?

Just kidding. Good luck in the future Kenny, er, Dan.

I can't believe that you're still posting on your last day in Korea.

Have a safe trip and good luck.

Bye Dan, have a good trip. Good luck in setting yourself up quickly back home.

I'm not looking forward to when I leave, been here for so long I think it will be very tough when the time comes.

Anyhow best of luck for the future, who knows maybe you'll be back in Korea and come to one of the meetings.

So long Dan and don't be a stranger here. No hard feelings from my end on the prowar/antiwar thing and hope you feel the same way. It' good to have you here and hope you give us some time when you have it. Good luck and safe journey, and seconding Zyzyfer's regrets about not tipping one back together ...

Very Happy

re; 'reverse culture shock', don't be doing anything a Korean wouldn't do!
Your terse and zappy one-line posts were just what they deserved! Good luck and hurry on back (haha)
