I have always been satisfied with my place until now. Thanks a lot sistersarah and Derrek. My place is so small. I don't have a closet. I have no storage space. My kitchen is almost no existent. And I pay a 50k/month maintenance fee but get no maintenance from it. Oh well, this place is still way better than my last one.

The panorama might make my place seem a bit larger than it is.

The "maintenance fee" thing is sure a crock.

well, my place looks bigger in the pics too....but, saying that, storage space is soooo important. my old place was about the same size except it had NO closets....so all my stuff out in the open made it appear so cluttered and untidy and smaller. never underestimate the importance of closet space.

I am rather pleased with my apartment. I have three bedrooms all to myself, although one room now functions as my living room. It is equiped with a microwave, computer, television, video machine, washing machine, Internet acess, and a stocked kitchen. I live on the 15th floor of a high rise with a great view of the mountain range. It probably the nicest apartment that I have seen for a foreign teacher. I think that you might get a much better apartment if you apply for jobs outside of Seoul.

What country calls a VTR/VCR a "video machine"?

C & I are in a large, 24 pyung, 3 room (+ kitchen & bath) now; it is a 1/2 basement villa, in An-yang area. We love it, and the key money was only 5 mill; rent is more than paid through our job housing allowances.

I'm sure there's pics on my site (http://groups.msn.com/GAJacksonsTheMeaningofLife), but I don't have a page devoted to 'apartment pics' - maybe some of the best ones are from Turkey Day last year, with Blue Flower, Zyzyfer, Sarah-in-Korea, etc. in attendance.

My Chan'won apartments were both big by Korean standards - over 20 pyung each, both with great views. My first Seoul apartment was a 'normal' 2 room (+kit & really nice bath) 16-pyung place.

We have entertained here, with about 15?20? people at a time, between the rooms - biggest obstacle is the pile of Western-sized shoes at the door!

Regards,

G.
