I'm planning vacations for it already (yes, I've been here long enough to know to plan 4 months in advance) but I'm not sure when seollal is.

So when is it?? please tell me it will be a 5 day holiday Very Happy

So that will be a strange week.
Have a weekend, go to work Monday, 3 days off and go to work on Friday and then another weekend.

Might be time to take that sickie on the Monday Wink

According to labor law (article 217, paragraph 19), foreigners are not allowed to get sick the day prior to Lunar New Year. Foreign workers can be deported or fined. Of course, paragraph 20 contains the only exception -- menstruation leave.

Or you can come work at my school. Our hakwon is Mon-Thurs (3-9) and my husband and I are leaving. Get a long holiday and a great job with 3-day weekends. If we were staying in Korea, we'd definitely keep this job. Going home to get MA's and see our family--it's been 19 months since we've seen them and I can't wait! Very Happy
