I'm not sure if this was posted before, or whether or not it's just common knowledge, but I got this interesting e-mail from http://www.efl-law.com/newsletter_october_e2_second_2004.html today.

Second Job On An E2 Visa.

It is possible and legal to work a second job if you are in Korea on an E2 Visa.

The following procedure is what you must do, and you will succeed.

Immigration Requirements (non negotiable)

a) The second Job must have LESS hours than the first
b) The second job must have LESS money than the first
c) The hours must not overlap

d) The first Employer (Sponsor) must give you a letter entitled AGREEMENT.

"I, (sponsor name) agree to ( teacher name) working for (second job name)

Signed
Sealed
Dated

e) The first employer must also supply you

***(i) a copy of the school Registration certificate (Company registration)
***(ii) a copy of your work schedule
***(iii) a copy of your salary amount

f) The Second (New employer) must supply you with
***(iv) a copy of the school Registration certificate (Company registration)
***(v) contract signed and sealed
***(vi) a copy of your work schedule
***(vii) proof the salary is less than the first job

g) You Must also once again take your Original Degree to Immigration.
h) Take your passport
i) Take your Alien Registration card
h) Fill in this Form at Immigration

i) pay 60,000 Won in fees
