Nice and colorful, but what's with the knives sticking out of the pig? Kind of macabre. Reminds me of a visit to a market. I saw a woman blowtorching pig's heads. The skin around the lips would shrink, making it appear that the pig was BREAKING INTO A SMILE as she blowtorched its head. That was the most macabre thing I have ever seen.
Keep the pics coming! Interesting points of view. |

Get yourself a front row seat and let us know how it turns out! |
if I;'m not mistaken, Osan is the location of an Americian airbase. Therefore, i think she already has a front-row seat. |

Sorry. I thought the title of this thread read, "Fav Korea Pic".
But I am sure she won't take it personally that I called her a 'thing'! |

Toby,
Please remember to seek permission from the woman. Without permission, you may be accused of making the woman into an object or property. You only think of your lovely wife as a thing to be used for your service. Do you own her?
"Man" is a term in the singular definitive sense, while "wife" is a possessive term. I object to the insinuation that a wife is property of the man. Henceforth, we must all be married by the New and Improved "I now pronounce you husband and wife", or "I now pronounce you man and woman". Or at the very least, "I now pronounce you husband and woman". At least be unfair in my favour.

I believe that is paper money, not a knife, but those are knives on the pretty doll. |

I like it cause it's so visually striking. From what I understand, this is part of a shamanist ritual, and the pig has been gutted which is why th shaman can hold it in her teeth like that.
It's a macabre omage indeed, but there are some pretty macabre aspects to life here that we take for granted. I showed my students a pic of my dog today to explain puppy, and half a dozen of them yelled "Boshintang?!!!" |

Korea has nothing distinctive.
All of those above images you can find in every country...you can put a whole loads of lamps or lights on the ceiling, watch a sunset, anywhere. And brides are beautiful in any country, of any nationality.
Man-made attractions don't make a country great. Cast your mind to the grand canyon, the sprawling sahara, the great barrier reef. Or, most glorious of all, the incredible Victoria Falls and exquisite balancing rocks of Zimbabwe. |
So you moved to the beautiful Zimbabwe now? Lucky you. |

And while we're ON the subject, exactly how much DOES Zimbabwe?
On a similar note, I spent some time in New Orleans, visited the French Quarter on many occasionas, and not a single person could tell me how much it was worth in American money ...
Recently bought a very cool handphone with an excellent camera function. Expect some interesting photos on this thread when/if I ever figure how to upload the stuff onto my 'putah ...

Unless you're in Denmark, the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, Spain, Massachussetts, or San Francisco, in which case:
man & man
woman & woman
wife & wife
husband & husband
are also possible. |

Good job- I will sheepishly admit to laughing out loud at that one. But what I really want to know is what did Delaware? |
