Ilsanman and any of you other guys that live in Ilsan...
Particularly buses coming back from Seoul to Ilsan during the late night, anyone know what times are the last runs? The reason I ask is because the road bus signs all seem to say that most last buses do a final run at times like 22:50, or 23:30 and the like. However, on Saturday night I was around Hwajeong, that main road stretch that all those buses #9702, 9704, 9706, 9713, bus # 1000, etc etc, all these buses were running ALOT well into the AM, I was out there until past 2AM and I saw a bus go by from Seoul at 2:13 am before I left there. Almost the same could be said on Sunday night (well, Monday morning).
The reason I ask is because I'm in Ilsan now and it would be cool if I knew of late night buses so I could hang out in Seoul until as late as possible without getting caught. Any 24 hour buses? Anyways really surprised to see so many buses running late at night. This happens normally? Only weekends? Or? Thanks... |

921 is super fast, going from Hwajeong and some parts of Ilsan, to Sinchon and Hongdae areas. But it certainly isn't 24 hours. |

*bump*
anyone know what are the last run times?
By the way, I always like bus #1000, doesn't go to middle of Hwajeong but it's one heck of an express. haven't tried 921 for quite awhile. Not sure where in Hwajeong (going from Seoul) it will even go. But yah I remember once it leaves Hapjeong, it takes that highway straight through doesn't it?
But anyhow if these buses run until very late (1 or 2am) like I saw the other Saturday night, and also beginning running very early (4 or 5am) then that would definately improve nightlife and late access into Seoul. Alot better than 10:40pm last run times posted on those bus signs! |

Anyone have current info on late night buses headed back to Seoul from Ilsan? Particulary close to jeongbalsan station? |

The buses the op talked about still run those same times and run last jeongbalsan. Also, the m7106 runs until 1am, and makes fewer stops than the 1000. I used to live in Ilsan in used both the 1000 and m7106 late nights. Download the "Seoul bus" app for your phone and you can find all this info. |

Here's the basic information. The last departures of most buses leaving Seoul for Ilsan/Goyang leave around 1:00AM. It's possible that some of the buses you saw around 2:00AM were the last buses coming from Seoul for the night and were on the longer routes.
From personal experience these buses run until 1:00AM from Seoul to the main bus lane in Ilsan. This is just a small sample. There are many other buses but they are not as good in my opinion.
1. M7412, 9700 - Gangnam
2. M7106, M7119, 1000 etc. run from Gwanghwamum - Seoul Station (if you are in Itaewon and you decide to go home early take a taxi (6000 won) to exit 3 as loads of late night Ilsan buses go from here) - Yonsei to Ilsan. |
