Okay, I think we've got to decide either the buffet in Kangnam, or the Tibettan place near Dongdaemun as well, but I can't set up two polls on a thread.

And by the way Kermo, I'm definitely down for drinking some rye, and my birthday is in Nov too.

hey would it be lame to bring veggie recipes that are seoul friendly (re things you can actually procure here) to share with people? kinda like a swap? or would that be too, um, granola? i was just thinking it might nice. Very Happy

what's the buffet in gagnam? i've never been there, but the tibettan place rules!

I've managed to procure almost anything I've ever looked for, so my cooking is limited more by burner space/ room in the toaster oven. What kind of stuff are you having trouble finding?

ya, any day is cool with me - except if its the 7th i'll need to have it in the evening instead o' lunch. i'm seeing a tokobi storm matinee.

and i'd be up for a little fun recipe swapping. i like that granola stuff. next we can start a consciousness-raising group, as well as a transendental meditation one, a palmstry one, and a chakra-finding one!

(just kidn.. good idea, i'll see what recipes i can find) Laughing

hey peppermint, or others: does anyone know where to get hummus ingredients?

I'v never seen tahini here, but- sesame seeds are everywhere! Takes a little more patience but you can grind them yourself. You can get dried chick peas and other legumes at the indian food shops in Itaewon. There's one just down the road from where we went fior the first veggie club dinner. It's diagonally across from the Three Alley Pub. The garlic and stuff shouldn't be a problem.

I really want to make it to the next one. Lunch for me is impossible on Saturdays, but if it is on a Saturday night I will make sure my schedule is free and I can usually do anytime Sundays. Look forward to it.

my deep dark secret is that I hate, hate making plans more than a couple of days ahead.

If people want to meet this coming weekend though- count me in.

As a bonafied meat eater I thought I would try to help out all you grazers Wink

You can get flavored oatmeal at Costco from time to time. apple cinnamon, maple, regular, raisen....etc.

I have found small jars of salsa for sale at some of the local department stores(Home Plus for one)

In Korea it is easy to acquire all the ingredients for ratatoulle. If anyone wants the recipe let me know and I will post it here.

I used to be a chef so I have a pretty good repitoire of recipes.

I'm the sort that loves to look ahead in the week and count down to something fun. I intend to eat a vegetarian meal with somebody on Saturday! However, I don't know where any of these restaurants are, so someone needs to step up to the (dinner) plate, and herd us herbivores together!
