i'm sure this question has been asked here before but the search feature on dave's is pretty shoddy.

my buddy and me are looking for different protein-shake kinda things such as pro-lab or metrx.

as usual, it's korea and we don't know where to start. any ideas?

Import markets; there's one on the side of the road opposite the Hyundai department store in Sinchon (look for the shop with lots of liquors, it's the top of a covered, slightly underground arcade), another at exit 1 of Namdaemun (a separate building called "Suip samga" I think, rainbows or smiley face logos on the side of the building), or the "Red door shop" in Itaewon (never been).

I saw protein powder (I can't remember what brand - also I didn't look closely at it, so I don't know what sort of quality it is) and creatine powder at the Namdaemun import market. Good luck.

Namdemun, Hoehwa subway stop on the blue line (not far from Seoul Station). Namdemun Market. There's a tourist info kiosk open in the daytime. Can't miss it, middle of the pedestrian road mid-market. Ask where the foreign goods market part is. It's down a ramp, and underground, like 'catacombs'/competing stalls. Cheapest I've seen protein powder/nutritional supplements, and big variety.
Walmart has Joe Weider protein powder.

Question Question Question

Anyway...The subway stop for Namdaemun market is actually "Hoehyeon" or some such romanization - between Seoul Station and Myeong-dong Station.

Careful, though. If you find a vendor whose stuff is good, try to go back to him because I've know folks who bought protein there and it was spoiled. I've never had a problem, but I usually buy from the same guy.

KoreanLifer gets an "A". Bodybuilding.com is the place to go. Even with the shipping charges it is pretty cheap, especially if you buy a 3 months supply or more. Plus they have everything that you could possibly want in terms of supplements.

Good nutrition/training articles at this site as well.

best thing about it is that i posted it whilst trying to sober up in a PC bang. i woke up with a weird "oh crap, did i say something completely retarded on dave's last night?" panic attack - they're terrifying, these panic attacks.

then my internet came back on yesterday, i checked it and i realized that no, it was just me being a ninja. again.
