The only downside you will have is you wont be able to get an E-2 visa without a 4 year degree. You could work illegally doing privates on a tourist visa but that can be risky and stressful.
Good luck |
You can get an E-2 with a 3 year degree from the UK or Ireland.
We British and Irish do our degrees in 3 years because we're so much smarter than the rest of you. |

Opps! sorry to infer doubt upon your gender Monsuier jett.
and yes after working since 6.00am that morning then 6.30pm was time for my bed!!
So, I neeeeed a degree eh! Oh poo! I haven't been to uni for over 5 years and having left still owing crdits from the 2nd year I don't know if they would let me enter straight into the 3rd year.
Mmm,..you all seem to be saying I need a degree. Anyone know people who have come purely on a efl qualification (mine is CELTA) and good references?? That is my hope.
I love this work and have built up excellant reports from senior staff and students. I guess I thought that would be enough, but Korea, ofcourse it's gonna be so different.
Anyway, thank you all and I'm still coming but with eyes a little bit more open now

You need a degree to get an English teaching work visa. It's an immigration rule not an employer one. No exceptions.
You could get married to your girlfriend, and then you could get an F2 family visa. It would be easier to get other work, but still no English teaching. |
