ok so I have managed to get some games..
and now I need a serial..
the one that came with the Downloaded game.. a generator..
didnt work I must have typed in 20 or so..
and nothing..
so does anyone know where I can get some?
I have tried off kazaa.. and donkey and still nothing..
the game cant install without it..
ummmm
the game is need for speed 2 underground - pc -


also what is a cd crack?
and what does it do?
why would you need one if you had an original disk?

I have read some forums where people even with original disks are looking for NO cd cracks..
whats this all about?

i usually go to http://www.seriall.com/w/9.html to grab a working serial#. never had a problem with anything posted there.

i'm not an expert on this, but i'll tell you what i know.

a cd crack replaces the .exe file needed to begin playing a game/program. you take the new (cracked) .exe file and replace the one that's already in your game folder (ie. c:/program files/madden 2005). if, when trying to run from your original game disc, you encounter an error saying 'please insert the correct cd' or something, you'll have to find a crack for it.

question: if you have the original disc then shouldn't/wouldn't/couldn't you get a serial key along with it?

maybe someone a bit more knowledgable can shed some more light on this.

To the OP: If the serial is not on the CD, it's probably not the original. Though my adobe pagemill serial was on the cd case.

A cd crack is used for different purposes; the most common one is to enable you to play a game directly off the hard drive (presuming you have done a full install) without putting the cd. If you only have 1 drive, this means you can also play a music cd at the same time, providing your own background music.

Some people like using them (cd crack) so they can install a game once, crack it, then put the cd away to keep it safe. I use them for that purpose all the time - less popping in & out means less wear & tear on a cd (in this instance, I believe cartridges are superior). But, there are piracy issues involved, which is why the protection is put there in the first place.

LOTS of the crack/serial places are set-up virus/hacking breeding grounds!!! The small size of a keygen, and the fact it asks you for permission to run (which you grant, not knowing better), and an 'illegal' piece of software at that makes it easy - as easy as JSing porn sites.

Whenever you download something from a P2P network or a site, ALWAYS scan it with your AV programs & something like Pest Patrol first - that is not a 100% guarantee, but it will help a lot.
