I've been playing this non stop.
I can't help it, it's like h and crack cocaine mixed into one.
And this is coming from someone who's never touched MMORPG's before, EVER.
That's how good it is. I spent hours playing this, rather than HalfLife2, which I prebought and preloaded via Steam many months ago.
Frankly, I couldn't care.. :)

Is it in english? I thought the release date was November 23.
Are you just playing the beta? |

Yeah I'm playing the open (and now closed after 500 thousand signups) beta.
If you guys are keen on playing, it gets released 23rd/24th of November in English speaking states, such as Australia and the USA.
Asian territories (only China and Korea will have local servers) get it sometime in Feb, to allow for translation and tweaking of the game for these languages.
I'll definitely be buying up for the final, even with the subscription fees.
Shame is that I won't buy it till I get back from my trip (16th Jan) so many people will be streets ahead by then.. :)
Note that a warez version probably won't pass Battle.net and the fact you have to get a subscription sort of defeats the purpose. There is no single player or LAN mode.

What are the chances of Korea selling the english copies near the release date?
Any guesses? |

A friend of mine in Yong-san told me 'nope' today; the major online stores will NOT ship it directly here.
You could probably buy it, and double-ship it. May be what we wind up doing, as we want the collector's ed.
G.
afterthought: are the bases selling it? Anyone know about that??? I'll try calling someone about that one later . . . |

If you guys are REALLY keen, maybe I could pick up a few copies and take them over and hand them out.
Depends how soon you want them tho.
Release is about 1 week from now in Australia.

What will be the service costs for the servers.
Its a good idea, quit playing DIA cause of the lag and hacks And there were too many drops on battlenet during a Warcraft TFT game.
If there is a few of us, we should do a group buy. It would save on the shipping costs. |

Is it out in Korea yet or did anyone buy it? The commercials have the release date set for yesterday in Korea. |

damn $50 U.S and then another 14.99/month for online.
Is this a new thing or do other games have additional costs for server maintenance and online gaming? |

Actually, the localization of WoW has been going on in Korea since the spring.
There won't be a backdoor translation patch into english on the Korean servers and there are cross-regional restrictions preventing people from ordering the US client to play over here. And knowing how everything is always subject to change, you might see some relaxing of the restrictions in the new year, but Blizzard has a lot more other things on their plate, before getting around to stuff like that, so be prepared to wait awhile. So, unless you have it brought in by someone, you are SOL. |

Got it for free.
The Warcraft truck pulled up to the school and they gave out free copies. Four disk set. |

What the duck.
Is this for real? That's pretty damn good. Better than paying out AUD100+ for a collector's edition.. :(
